Second Grade Fine Arts Night
Second grade students were able to show off their artistic talent with artwork inspired by Pop Artist Romero Britto and Hawaiian Rock Art for a "Hawaiian Fall" Theme. They also created Murals for the performance of "The Hello, Goodbye Window."
Art Stations
When students have completed their daily art project they get to go to stations. Students currently can use clay modeling techniques to create their sculptures at the clay station. We also have a technology station in which students can use Ozmo masterpiece to practice their contour drawing techniques or the little ones can be engaged and enjoy the magic of Ozmo monster. We also have sketchbooks that allow students to draw their favorite subjects.
First Day in Art
Our first day in Art lesson allowed students to create an original work of art with their classmates. The students made sure not to tell their partner what they were drawing. It was a fun way to collaborate with another artist and create something they would not have thought of on their own. We also discussed that Surrealist painters often combine two images that don't go together.
